Our partnership has representation from organisations who are funded by local authorities, some are associated with universities, others are ACE (Arts Council England) National Portfolio Organisations. Each organisation is working in a unique local context; some with thriving and active arts scenes, others are connecting artists to build communities from the ground up.

Working across these differences enables IGC Partners to strengthen their understanding of the broader cultural landscape, the needs of artists, and the ways in which we can collectively contribute to the Midlands’ creative ambition.

Derby Theatre is a unique and vibrant venue known for its bold productions, dedication to artistic excellence and strong civic agenda, with learning and community running through the heart of its programme. Since 2013 Derby Theatre (formerly Derby Playhouse) has had a unique partnership with the University of Derby to produce new works, support emerging artists and engage learners of all ages. As an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation and a registered charity, Derby Theatre strives to be inclusive; welcoming diverse audiences, participants, and artists, offering a space for anyone who wants to create and learn. Whether through groundbreaking productions or exciting educational opportunities, Derby Theatre aims to inspire and entertain, inviting everyone to broaden their horizons and experience its transformative power firsthand

Attenborough Arts Centre is one of the UK’s leading centres for art and culture, with a mission to make culture and creativity accessible to all. We identify and remove barriers to inclusion to enable everyone to experience creativity and culture. We are a creative home for our communities, running participatory programmes which achieve over 24,000 engagements each year. Based at the University of Leicester, Attenborough Arts Centre runs a range of arts and culture initiatives for our students and delivers the institution’s public programmes together with a range of partners, collectively engaging over 250,000 people annually. We are grateful to the University of Leicester for their continued core funding, and to Arts Council England for their generous support of Attenborough Arts Centre as a National Portfolio Organisation using public funding.

The Arena Theatre is a small-scale theatre with a great informal atmosphere for all visitors. It presents one of the best and most diverse theatre programmes in the West Midlands, and the vast number of performances each year is populated with top-quality professional productions, local and amateur shows alike.

Today, the Brewhouse Arts Centre stands as a vibrant creative hub in Burton upon Trent, fostering arts, culture, and community engagement. It hosts a diverse range of performances, workshops, and events—from theatre and live music to dance and visual arts—making it a key destination for both local talent and professional artists. With accessible programming, a welcoming atmosphere, and dedicated volunteer support, The Brewhouse continues to inspire creativity, bring people together, and enrich the town’s cultural life.

The Core at Corby Cube is a thriving arts charity that has become a cultural cornerstone in Corby, hosting over 300,000 visitors and generating £16.8 million in local economic impact over its 15-year history. The venue features a 445- seat theatre for professional and community performances, a flexible studio (The Lab), and a multi-use underground space (The Base), offering a diverse programme of music, comedy, dance, and theatre. With a strong focus on accessibility, The Core engages over 20,000 children and young people annually through free or subsidised workshops, school partnerships, and artist collaborations, fostering creativity and community regeneration. It also supports emerging artists through residencies, commissions, and initiatives like Ignition with Frantic Assembly, solidifying its reputation as a dynamic hub for arts and culture.

Lincoln Arts Centre is the University of Lincoln’s public-facing creative hub, dedicated to nurturing emerging artists, fostering innovation, and driving research in contemporary performance. Guided by extensive community consultation through initiatives like Lincoln’s Future Arts Centre, it champions inclusivity, experimentation, and talent development across its programming. The centre supports the next generation of creatives through university collaborations and versatile performance spaces while actively opposing discrimination and advocating for accessibility in the arts. With a dynamic team and a commitment to bold artistic ideas, it serves as both a cultural beacon and a launchpad for the future of performance.

Here at Mansfield District Council, we aim to support people, businesses and investment in the area, and boost confidence and pride so that everyone can enjoy a good quality of life and transform Mansfield and the surrounding district into a vibrant and confident place to live and work

Nonsuch Studios is an independent theatre company, creative producer and arts charity producing new contemporary performance, creative projects, festivals and transformational community engagement programmes across Nottingham and the wider East Midlands. Across our broad programme we produce work that aims to unlock new opportunities for artists and audiences alike; using creativity to find new ways to empower communities, build creative skills, create amazing moments and memories and enable creative growth through high-impact and intrinsically-playful projects, programmes and productions. Nonsuch Studios are hugely proud to be part of the IGC family after being part of the inaugural In Good Company associate company programme in 2014 and becoming a partner of the programme since 2018.

Royal & Derngate Northampton is a leading regional theatre and arts hub, celebrated for its high-quality Made in Northampton productions that tour nationally and internationally, including Olivier Award-winning shows and acclaimed transfers to London’s West End. Alongside its dynamic in-house work, the venue hosts a diverse programme of touring theatre, music, comedy, and dance, as well as screenings at the Northampton Filmhouse. Committed to accessibility and creativity, it runs award-winning community initiatives, nurtures emerging artists, and offers versatile spaces for performances, events, and conferences. The Y Theatre is Leicester’s oldest live performance venue, established in 1900, offering an eclectic mix of music, comedy, theatre, and family shows while championing emerging and local artists. With deep roots in the community—from its early days as a YMCA lecture hall and wartime hub to its modern reputation as a comedy hot spot—the venue has hosted legends like Joe Lycett and Grace Petrie and remains a cornerstone of the Leicester Comedy Festival, winning multiple awards. Committed to inclusivity and diversity, The Y Theatre welcomes all, blending rich history with vibrant contemporary programming in a space that’s as dynamic as its audiences.
