EASY READY SURVEY
AUDIO VERSION OF SURVEY
We want to better understand the needs of disabled theatre makers and artists from across the Midlands and understand how we can instigate positive change within the industry. This survey will help us and others to do that. It should take no longer than 5 to 10 minutes to fill in depending on access needs.
The survey is available in written English, audio file and easy read versions which can all be found here. If you'd find it helpful, you can arrange a 1-2-1 appointment and one of our team can work through the survey with you to complete it. We can arrange a BSL interpreter if needed. To arrange this, you can email igc@derby.ac.uk
We know that the word disabled can mean different things to different people. When we use the term disabled we mean it to include, but not be limited to, people who have/are/define as learning disabled, neurodivergent, chronically ill, disabled, hearing or sight impaired, Blind, D/deaf, and or physically disabled, or live with a long term mental health condition, and or brain damage.
By 'artist' we mean anyone working in the theatre or performing arts industry, in any role, as a freelancer, part-time, full-time and at any stage of your career.
This survey will help us to inform organisations about what disabled artists need to thrive in our sector.
